NBA Christmas games ranked:

#5, Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks

Coming in at the fifth spot is the game that will kick things off. The Philadelphia 76ers will be traveling to New York, where they will battle the Knicks in MSG.

Even with the allure of Madison Square Garden, this game features two teams that are middle-of-the-pack at best right now. The 76ers sit at 9-8, while the Knicks are 9-9. If Philly is fully healthy by the time Christmas rolls around, this matchup has blowout potential.

#4, Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets

Even though the Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets is near the bottom of the list, it is a dark horse to be one of the better matchups. What players are available on each side will play a huge factor.

This matchup will still feature two high-impact players in the game right now. Denver's Nikola Jokic is the reigning two-time MVP, and Phoenix's Devin Booker has cemented himself as one of the league's top guards. Both are more than capable to have a big night, which could make this game a must-watch.

#3, LA Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks

Coming in at the No. 3 spot is the LA Lakers taking on the Dallas Mavericks. While LA has been nothing short of a dumpster fire this year, this matchup will still garner a lot of attention.

If LeBron James is back in the lineup for the Lakers, this might be the most-watched of all the NBA Christmas games. As Mavs guard Luka Doncic continues to emerge as a superstar, a primetime matchup against LeBron could provide a passing of the torch moment with two of the NBA's best going at it.

#2, Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Of all the NBA's Christmas games, Warriors vs. Grizzlies should have the most fireworks. Golden State ended Memphis' incredible run last year, and they likely haven't forgotten.

The animosity spilled over onto social media when these teams met in the playoffs, and that bad blood might still be there. No matter what, the young Grizzlies squad will surely enter this matchup looking to score some revenge on the national stage.

#1, Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks

By far the most exciting matchup of the Christmas games is the Milwaukee Bucks squaring off against the Boston Celtics. These are two of the league's top teams and could very well meet in the Eastern Conference finals come playoff time.

For seeding purposes, both squads will be looking to pick up a win to hold the tiebreaker. Plus, the game will feature two early MVP candidates in Boston's Jayson Tatum and Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo. The NBA world is sure to have their eyes glued to the TV during this battle of two Eastern Conference juggernauts.
