Andre Iguodala's appointment as Acting Executive Director of the NBPA

The NBPA has appointed Andre Iguodala for the Acting Executive Director position which was previously held by Tamika Tremaglio since January 2021. Tremagilio stepped down after successfully leading the union to the recent collective bargaining negotiations with the NBA.

Iguodala takes honor and pride in this new role and hopes his 19-year experience of playing in the NBA will help strengthen the union for current and future players:

“I am honored to take on this role and serve the players, who are the heart and soul of the NBA. I’m presented with a unique opportunity to take all that I’ve learned as a player over the course of my 19-year career and apply it to creating an even stronger and more influential union for current and future generations of players.
"I am thrilled to work alongside our extremely committed Executive Committee to lead the brotherhood through its next stage of advancement and development," Iguodala said in the NBPA's official statement.

Current NBPA President CJ McCollum praised the newest development and having the opportunity to work with Iguodala as the Executive Director. He also thanked Tremaglio for her service to the NBPA.

Meanwhile, Andre Iguodala has been part of the Executive Committee and is expected to bring valuable experience to his new role and build on what Tremagilio worked on with the NBPA.
