Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks had a 'perfect' triple-double against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday (Mar. 19). Antetokounmpo had 22 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in the Bucks' 118-111 win in front of their fans at the Fiserv Forum.
Antetokounmpo shot 9-for-9 from the field, including 1-for-1 from beyond the arc. It would have been a real perfect triple-double if he hadn't gone 3-for-7 from the charity stripe. Free throws have been one of the few weaknesses of his game, shooting 64.9% this season.
Nevertheless, "The Greek Freak" remains one of the best, if not the best, players in the game. He's among the top three MVP candidates this season alongside Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sunday's game was a close one, considering the Toronto Raptors had a six-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. However, the Milwaukee Bucks took over in the final period, outscoring the Raptors 29-16.

Giannis Antetokounmpo went scoreless in the fourth quarter but made three crucial assists towards the final four minutes. Brook Lopez led the Bucks in scoring with 26 points, while Khris Middleton added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Fans on social media took note of Antetokounmpo's "perfect" triple-double and some had some nice things to say. However, others were critical of him missing free throws.

Giannis Antetokounmpo asked great questions about MVP criteria
Giannis Antetokounmpo is a two-time NBA MVP and one-time NBA Finals MVP. Antetokounmpo is also a perennial contender to win the MVP but is more eager to add championships to his growing resume.
In an interview with The Athletic, "The Greek Freak" had some very interesting questions and comments about the criteria to win the MVP. He also called himself the most competitive guy in NBA history.
"The thing that I don't get about the MVP criteria is it changes," Antetokounmpo said. "So what is the MVP? Is it the guy who scores the most points? Is it the guy who's the most efficient? Is it the guy who is the most dominant? Is it the guy who is the most valuable? Sometimes, the best player isn't the most valuable player on the team. Like, I feel like, Brook (Lopez) is such a valuable player for our team."
