NBA legend Carmelo Anthony and his son Kiyan Anthony were in attendance at the Paris Olympics men's basketball semifinal game between Serbia and Team USA. During that game, Serbia's Bogdan Bogdanovic hit Melo's signature 'three to the dome' celebration after hitting a 3-pointer.

This particular moment was one of the things discussed by Kiyan and Sloane during the former's appearance on the 'Sloane Knows' podcast. Sloane asked Kiyan about his perspective on this particular moment.

This is what he had to say about the incident:

"I feel like it wasn't no disrespect when (Bogdan) did his little celebration," Kiyan said. "I feel like he did it more to respect (Carmelo) 'coz they're cool and they're friends and they battled on the court already."

Carmelo Anthony also talked about this on his podcast '7PM in Brooklyn' about a month ago.

While other people perceived it as Bogdan Bogdanovic disrespecting Melo, the latter clarified that it was not the case at all. Melo himself said that Bogdanovic was simply paying his respects to the 10-time NBA All-Star.

Melo also added that when Bogdanovic hit the shot preceding the celebration, he wanted to cheer for the Serbian swingman. However, since he was there to support Team USA, he couldn't show emotions.

After that game, Melo also gave props to Bogdanovic on X. In the end, Serbia ended up losing the game, despite leading the contest into the fourth quarter. It was among the closest matches of the tournament.

Kiyan Anthony explains why Paul George is his GOAT

During the same interview on the 'Sloane Knows' podcast, the eponymous host asked Kiyan Anthony to explain why Paul George is his favorite player.

Kiyan described George's game as smooth and declared that it was smoother than anyone else. Anthony said that George made the game look effortless on both ends while others looked like they were trying too hard.

Kiyan Anthony also shared that he admired George's defensive skills and how he took the initiative of guarding the best player of the opposing team. All while still getting things done on the offensive end.

Paul George has made a name for himself as one of the best two-way players in the NBA. In his 14 seasons in the league, he has averaged 20.8 points while shooting 44.0% from the field and 38.5% from three.

On the defensive end, he has averaged 1.7 steals per game. Statistically, his best season was in 2018-19, when he was with the OKC Thunder. He averaged a career-best 28.0 points per game and led the league with 2.2 steals per game.

Kiyan Anthony also shared that the Philadelphia 76ers, who acquired George this summer, could win the NBA title.

George will be teaming up with 2023 MVP Joel Embiid as well as rising star Tyrese Maxey, forming a new big three to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference.
