The Sacramento Kings have been one of the more surprising teams in the NBA this season. The Kings currently have a 10-6 record and are tied for first place in the Pacific Division.

One of the keys to the Kings' success this season is point guard De’Aaron Fox. This season, Fox is averaging a career-best 25.4 points along with 6.4 assists per game.

De’Aaron Fox plays the game at a fast level and is constantly attacking the basket. Fox was recently asked about being regarded as one of the fastest men in the NBA and stated that he uses his speed when he has to.

Fox has taken full advantage of being able to get the shots that he wants and has been efficient in doing so. Fox is currently shooting 55.8% from the field and 38.2% from three-point range.

De’Aaron Fox is currently in his sixth season in the NBA, all of which he has been with the Sacramento Kings. If the team continues to win, Fox may have a chance at making his first All-Star team.

Could the Kings Make the Playoffs?

The Sacramento Kings have not been to the postseason in 16 years, giving them the longest current postseason drought in the NBA. Coach Mike Brown has the team playing well this season and could possibly end that long suffering. The current roster is deep and has a nice mix of youth and veterans.

The Sacramento Kings are on a 7-game win streak which is their longest since the 2004-05 season. Their streak is the longest this season in the NBA. The team hasn’t seen this type of success since Chris Webber and Mike Bibby's days.

The current roster is being led by De’Aaron Fox, their leading scorer, who also leads the team in assists. The team is also getting 17.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game from Domantas Sabonis. Harrison Barnes is also on the team, proving to be a strong veteran leader.

The Kings are also getting a solid contribution from Fox’s college teammate Malik Monk, who is averaging 12.7 points per game off the bench. If the team continues winning games at this rate, they have a good shot a being in the postseason. The Western Conference is wide open and no dominant team has emerged.

The Sacramento Kings are getting it done this season with a high-powered offense. As a team, they are averaging 121.4 points per game which currently leads the league. The team’s 38.0% from 3-point range is currently fifth in the NBA.

The team will get their next test on November 23rd on the road against the Atlanta Hawks.
