Kim Kardashian’s $4B shapewear brand signs Shai Gilgeous-Alexander along with Neymar

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander joins Neymar as the newest endorsers for Kim Kardashian
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander joins Neymar as the newest endorsers for Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand Skims.

Skims, Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand, is set to unveil its men's line, and she brings in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Neymar Jr., and Nick Bosa as the product's inaugural endorsers.

A teaser video, which can be seen on Skim's website, shows Gilgeous-Alexander, the Oklahoma City Thunder's superstar, Neymar, Al-Hilal's main man, and Bosa, the San Francisco 49ers' defensive end, wearing Skims' new boxer briefs, muscle tank, and T-shirts for men.

They capped the video by saying,

"Everybody is wearing Skims."

Skims is currently valued at over $4 billion and the brand's co-founder, Kardashian, said in a statement,

"To have an icon like Neymar Jr. be the face of our launch campaign, along with NBA All-Star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and NFL’s top defensive player Nick Bosa, I think speaks volumes to the way Skims has evolved into becoming a brand that can provide comfort for all audiences, not just for women."

Skim's new men's line will be made available starting on Thursday on its website.

What is Skims, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's latest endorsement?

Skims found a good endorser for its new men's line in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who quickly rose to superstardom this year following a stellar stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Team Canada in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

However, Kim Kardashian's presence alone makes up for the company's quick ascent to the top of the shapewear industry.

Kim Kardashian co-founded Skims together with Emma and Jens Grede in June 2019.

However, just 10 minutes into its launch, all its initial products were quickly sold out, leading to a $2 million profit.

According to Kardashian, Skims sold out more than 3 million products in just its first year of operations despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic early into 2020. In 2022, Time Magazine listed Skims among its 100 Most Influential Companies.

Bringing in Gilgeous-Alexander, Neymar, and Nick Bosa was not the only time Skims invaded the sports scene. The brand partnered with the United States national team for the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021 and the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022.

Skims has not announced if the partnership will continue through next year's Paris Summer Olympics.
