LeBron James calls out Jalen Hurts doubters as Philadelphia crush Giants in divisional round:"Anybody would look great at QB for the Eagles"

LeBron James hardly misses the most intriguing and biggest NFL games, particularly in the playoffs. The NFC Divisional Playoffs pitting Daniel Jones’ New York Giants and Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles is certainly one of those matches.

The Eagles were tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record at 14-3. And while Patrick Maholmes always gets his credit, and rightfully so, for the Chiefs’ success, Hurts hasn’t nearly gotten his due.

LeBron James promptly wanted to correct that after the Eagles were smoking the Giants:

“Yeah like they were saying. Anybody would look great at QB for the Eagles.. yeah ooook. HATERS MAN!! Jalen Hurts is SPECIAL.”

Jalen Hurts' critics have lauded the offensive line for allowing the quarterback plenty of room to operate the offense. Whether it’s running the ball or hitting receivers downfield, detractors contend that anyone could run Philly’s offense.

LeBron James knows Hurts has become a more complete quarterback than ever before. The former Oklahoma superstar dictates everything the Eagles do on the field. His running ability puts the defense in a bind as his passing game has significantly improved.

When Hurts was unavailable in Weeks 16 and 17, the Eagles had two of their worst performances of the season. Their running game hardly looked threatening and their first-down conversions suffered. Hurts has been the catalyst and the leader of the offense, which made Philly look lethargic on that side of the ball without him.

The Eagles obliterated the Giants 38-7 and will go on to the NFC championship round. Jalen Hurts completed 16-24 passes for two touchdowns and a passer rating of 112.2. His 34 rushing yards, including another touchdown, were the biggest reasons Philly is on the brink of another Super Bowl appearance.

LeBron James played football in high school and could have posted better numbers had he had better balls from the quarterback. The QB is arguably the most important position in every team sport. He knows Hurts has the chance to become a superstar in the NFL if he sustains his play despite the criticisms.

LeBron James’ NFL teams have been eliminated

Everybody knows "King James" roots for the Cleveland Browns as he is from Akron, Ohio. He’s also an avid follower of the LA Rams because he’s in Los Angeles playing for the Lakers. The teams he has been rooting for went a combined 12-22 and were eliminated from the playoffs.

Cleveland finished with a 7-10 record but could have pushed for a playoff spot had quarterback Deshaun Watson not been suspended for 11 games. It also didn’t help that superstar defensive end Myles Garrett was injured in a vehicular accident while trying to avoid an animal on the road.

LeBron James is all too familiar with the Browns’ “there’s always a next year” mantra.

Meanwhile, the LA Rams looked like a completely different team than the one that won last year’s Super Bowl. They were the epitome of a squad deep in the doldrums of a championship hangover. They went 3-7 in their first 10 games, which took them out of the playoff picture.

Sure, the Super Bowl winners lost championship talents such as Von Miller, Andrew Whitworth, Robert Woods, and others, but they could still have done better. Injuries to Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald ultimately capped off a hugely disappointing season.
