LeBron James' high school Jordan shoes could be sold for more than $200,000

LeBron was only 18 when he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. All of the other fantastic players from the draft class, including Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade, were at least 19.

Despite never attending college, there was no doubt that James had what it takes to be an NBA player. He was considered the best high school player in the United States and even appeared on the cover of SLAM magazine.

During his teenage years, LeBron played for the St. Vincent-St. Mary varsity basketball team. He eventually led the team to the Division III championship in March 2000.

Now, almost 23 years later, basketball fans are able to bid on the shoes the young basketball player wore during the championship game. According to Heritage Auctions, these Jump Man Swift 6 shoes are valued at $200,000 or more.

According to the auction website, this is the earliest game worn material by James that is known. Each shoe is signed and inscribed by the basketball superstar, which makes the item even more valuable.

LeBron's first-ever championship and national recognition

While LeBron won his first-ever NBA championship with the Miami Heat in 2012, he was a champion long before that. In 2000, the young basketball player led his high school to a championship, earning national recognition.

LeBron's high school team ended up beating Jamestown Greeneview 73-55, winning the championship. James carried the team and was its best player by a large margin.

In 29 minutes spent on the floor, LeBron James scored 29 points on 10-for-12 shooting while also going 3-for-4 from the line. The young star also added nine rebounds, four assists, and a steal to his stat line.
