The slow start has left the Lakers frustrated. It seems as if it's only a matter of time before some drastic changes occur. LeBron took to Instagram on Thursday morning, posting a cryptic caption about being "taken for granted."

That got the attention of analyst Skip Bayless on "Undisputed."

"When I saw this last night, it struck me as child-like pouting on social media because for the first time in a long time, he got heavily criticized," Bayless said.

After going 33-49 last season, this wasn't the start the LA Lakers had hoped for. Things aren't going to get any easier with their upcoming schedule.

Los Angeles is set to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves (3-2) on Friday night. Minnesota has gotten off to a slow start as well and is eager to pick up a victory. The Lakers will then face the Nuggets (3-2) at home as well as the New Orleans Pelicans (3-1).

That means that LeBron James and the Lakers will be searching for their first win against three teams that made the playoffs last year. If the Lakers can't find a solution quickly, they risk falling into a deep hole. It could end up being one that is too difficult to overcome, especially in a competitive Western Conference.

James took on most of the responsibility for Wednesday night's disappointing performance. Not only did he struggle shooting the ball, he also finished with eight turnovers.

The Lakers, as always, are in the middle of the national spotlight. Many are starting to wonder when their first win will occur. After the daunting upcoming three-game stretch, Los Angeles is set to take on the Utah Jazz (4-1) and Cleveland Cavaliers (3-1).

Many expected the Utah Jazz to be one of the league's worst teams this season. Utah shipped out stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell this offseason, signifying a clear intention to rebuild. Instead, Utah has been one of the NBA's pleasant surprises, rattling off wins against tougher competition.

For now, it looks as if fans will be watching to see if the Lakers can escape this nightmare. For LeBron James and the team, the hope is that things can only get better.
