Savannah James, the wife of LA Lakers superstar LeBron James, has taken to working out, including doing Pilates, to stay fit. However, she admits that it isn’t easy and that she needs to put in the necessary work and stay committed to accomplishing her fitness goals.
She recently highlighted this in an Instagram story, where she shared a two-word reaction to “laboring” through a Pilates workout with her best friend and "Everybody’s Crazy" podcast co-host April McDaniel.
The 38-year-old mother of three wrote in her post:
"Sweat equity."

Working out is part of Savannah James' daily routine as she looks after the needs of her NBA superstar husband and their kids, in addition to her other endeavors.
In an interview with The Cut last year, she shared that she has been juicing and practicing intermittent fasting to keep her body in optimal condition. However, she said she avoids working out in the morning, as it isn’t her thing, but makes it a point to squeeze in her workout sessions throughout the day.
Savannah James' commitment to staying fit part of her push for self love
Savannah James’ growing interest in working out could be part of her push for self-love, which helps her be a better wife to LeBron James and mother to their three children. It’s something she’s been committed to in recent years.
She opened up about it in a recent episode of her "Everybody's Crazy" podcast, where she highlighted that there was a time when self-care wasn’t much of a priority as she balanced her various roles in the household. But she came to the realization that this shouldn’t be the case if she wanted to be more effective in all she does.
"I love my kids. I love my husband. I love my family. I love my friends. But I wasn't always in love with myself. So I would tell myself to open you heart. You're worthy. You're enough."
Check out what she had to say below, beginning at the 1:26 mark:
Savannah James and LeBron James have been together since high school and have been inseparable. She has always been by his side as he steadily built his basketball legend. They married in 2013 and have three children together: Bronny, who plays for the LA Lakers alongside his father, Bryce Maximus and Zhuri Nova.
While she continues to be a steady presence with her family, Savannah, though remaining private for the most part, has ventured into other activities as well, including the Everybody's Crazy podcast with best friend April McDaniel, which is now in its third season.
