Lonzo Ball hasn't played a single game this season for the Chicago Bulls due to a knee injury. Prior to this, Ball was only diagnosed with knee soreness but the injury is now more serious and even doctors don't know what's going on with the point guard's knee.

According to Joe Cowley, the team still has no clue as to why Ball is still feeling pain in his knee. Cowley shared this update on 670 The Score.

"The Chicago Bulls don't know why Lonzo Ball is still feeling pain in his knee. The medical staff doesn't know why there is still pain. Lonzo and his camp also don't know why." Cowley said.

Cowley also mentioned that Ball has had six opinions from doctors regarding his health.

During the offseason, Chicago revealed that the former second overall pick suffered from a bone bruise and a meniscus tear in his left knee. Initially, Ball was expected to recover within six to eight weeks. However, with the first half of the 2022-23 season almost coming to an end, Lonzo hasn't suited up for the Bulls.

Injuries have been a huge part of the 6-foot-6 point guard's career. Last season, he only played 35 games and was on the bench most of the time. His last healthy season was during the 2019-20 season, where he played 63 games for the New Orleans Pelicans as their starting point guard.

With him out of the lineup, the Bulls have encountered problems throughout their season. The Bulls (23-27) are 11th in the East and play against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday this week.

In his five-year NBA career, Lonzo Ball has never had a healthy season where he played at least 65 games. Since his rookie year, Ball's met different kinds of injuries. These setbacks have caused the Bulls guard to miss many games in his career.

One of the hosts of Bernstein & Holmes Show, Laurence Holmes, explored the possibility that Lonzo's basketball career could be over.

"When you start looking at how long he's been out, and how no one seems to have an answer. I'm sure this is hella frustrating for him."

"He's sitting there like, 'Why doesn't my body work the way that I want it to? Why is it that I've done these surgeries and it still doesn't work. I'm doing everything they tell me to do in rehab and it still doesn't work.'"
