LeBron James reacts to a play for the LA Lakers

The LA Lakers and LeBron James are very clearly at an impasse at this point in the season. Joining "The Anthony Irwin Show", Jorge Sedano shed light on the growing frustration between the two parties.

The Purple and Gold are on the verge of wasting yet another year of LeBron James' career. With injuries and losses mounting hand-in-hand, the Lakers find themselves depending upon James to produce monumental numbers almost every night.

While this has become practically routine for LeBron James over the course of his career, LeBron may not be able to keep up anymore. At the age of 38, LeBron remains one of the most effective players in the NBA.

Unfortunately, the team has made no such effort to support their superstar. Since Anthony Davis' injury, the Purple and Gold haven't made a whole lot of moves to bring in reinforcements. Needless to say, as the losses pile up, so does the frustration.

LeBron himself fired off a rather cryptic message following a loss. The emphasis on wanting to compete is a clear message and indication to the Lakers' front-office to make a move.

Joining "The Anthony Irwin Show", Jorge Sedano addressed LeBron's growing frustration with the LA Lakers front office. When discussing his comments in lieu of his recent performances, he said:

"First of all, I wasn't surprised because of the way the season has gone. Game one, he said they didn't have 'lasers', which I feel like was content for months already to begin with. This isn't the first time he has been vocal about his displeasure with the current state of the roster. The Anthony Davis injury situation has only exacerbated that."
"I'm not surprised in the sense of like, he goes back to a place where he won. I'd have to go back to the Cleveland one and see what his response was there. It certainly doesn't stick out the way this one did. But I think this one sticks out and is potentially done in a calculated way perhaps, because of all the parties involved."

Sedano placed specific emphasis on the fact that LeBron gave the media a lot more than "breadcrumbs" when responding to questions about his longevity. In this regard, Sedano alluded that this was characteristic of James when he wished to vent his frustrations.

LeBron James has every reason to be frustrated with the LA Lakers

Having notched some ridiculous scoring performances in the last few games, LeBron James displayed that he still has some fuel in the tank. But if history has proven anything, it's that this form cannot be sustained anymore.

The burden of carrying the team isn't something James can physically bear anymore. With a potential injury on the horizon, the LA Lakers really do need to ensure and provide their superstar with support and a chance to compete.

With Anthony Davis out of the rotation, the Lakers relied upon James and Russell Westbrook to produce. Now, with Westbrook going down with an injury as well, the Purple and Gold have their backs against a wall.

Trade options remain open for the Lakers as they hope to bring the necessary talent to help James compete. However, they remain prudent with regard to parting ways with their picks.

If things are to remain unchanged, LeBron faces a greater risk of injury as well. With several things to consider, the Purple and Gold will be forced to make some decisions.
