NBA fans were stunned in the wake of the recent allegations against point guard Josh Giddey. An Instagram user named OC Beers alleged that the Oklahoma City Thunder player was in a relationship with Liv Cook, who he claimed was underage.
Videos and images purportedly of the two were published online before being taken down. However, some other X users downloaded the alleged videos and photos in time and reshared them.
The allegations come at a time when the Thunder (11-4) are having an impressive start to the NBA season.
The viral posts surfaced hours after the OKC Thunder beat the Chicago Bulls at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Giddey had 10 points, finishing 4-of-13 from the field.

OC Beers' allegations against Josh Giddey are serious. The private Instagram page alleged that Cook is a high school junior, which means she could be just 16 or 17, around five years younger than the 21-year-old Australia international.
The age of consent varies between 16 and 17 across Australian state and territory jurisdictions, while it is 16 in Oklahoma.
It is important to note that the allegations haven't been proven yet.
Giddey is currently in his third NBA season. He was the No. 6 pick in the 2021 NBA draft. He has been instrumental in the Thunder's rebuild.
