It appears that Sacramento Kings' star point guard De'Aaron Fox is playing through pain. According to Fox, he dislocated the pinkie on his left hand during the team's training camp, and the injury has not yet healed. He suspects it might be a ligament injury, though X-ray results have come back negative.
The injury is on Fox's shooting hand, but he has not missed a game so far and plans to continue playing through it.
Since being drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2017, De'Aaron Fox has played a total of 475 regular season games. He has had three seasons where he played over 70 games and three where he played under 60.

De'Aaron Fox has been putting up solid numbers despite his injury
De'Aaron Fox has been playing through pain all season long and it seems he plans to continue doing so. He has played in all six of the Sacramento Kings' games this season and has been one of the team's top performers.
Fox is averaging 23.5 points per game, second to DeMar DeRozan's 25.3. He also averages 5.7 assists, just behind Domantas Sabonis, who leads the team with 6.3 assists per game. Additionally, Fox is third in rebounding with 5.2 per game and is the team leader in steals with 2.5 per game.
Fox has shot 47.7% from the field, averaging 17.8 attempts per game. However, his struggles from beyond the arc appear to be plaguing him again.
So far, he has made only 11 of the 41 3-pointer attempts (26.8%). Still, he leads the Kings in attempts from downtown with 6.8 per game, following a career-best 36.9% from deep last season.
So far, Fox is finishing the season with a 3-point field goal under 30%. He shot 29.2% in 2019-20 and 29.7% in 2021-22.
