On the court, Michael Jordan is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time.
Off the court, Jordan has been just as successful, amassing a $2.2 billion net worth. In 1989, the NBA Hall of Famer opened up on a former girlfriend who he felt was dating him for his fame.
Speaking to GQ Magazine, Jordan discussed dating actress Robin Givens, saying:
"It got tired in five, six days. I could see it (that she was dating him for his fame). Right now, I don't trust no one except my mother."
The Chicago Bulls legend would marry Junatia Vanoy later that year. The couple had three children together before filing for divorce in 2002. While they were able to reconcile their differences, that did not last, as they eventually went through with the divorce in 2006.
Vanoy was awarded a $168 million settlement in her divorce from the six-time NBA champion. At the time, it was the largest amount awarded in any celebrity divorce on public record.
Jordan met his current wife, Yvette Prieto, two years later, in 2008. The couple moved in together the following year before becoming engaged in 2011. They had a lavish Florida wedding in 2013.
The five-time NBA winner seemingly learned from his financial loss seven years ago, as the terms of his prenupital agreement with Prieto ensure that he will pay $1 million for every year the couple spend married. In April 2023, when the couple will celebrate their ten-year anniversary, that number will rise to $5 million for every every year of marriage.

Michael Jordan's postseason scoring dominance
A big part of Michael Jordan's lore has been atrributed to his incredible play in the postseason. The ten-time scoring champion took his offensive game to an even higher level when the games became more important.
Jordan is the NBA's all-time leader in points per game, averaging 30.1 points per game during his career. His production increased to 33.4 points per game in the postseason, which is also an NBA record.
Furthermore, Jordan averaged at least 40.0 points per game in a series five times in the postseason. No other player in NBA history has accomplished the feat more than once. He has also scored 50 points eight times in the postseason, which is the most all time, including an NBA postseason-record 63 points in one game.
