New Orleans Pelicans star Brandon Ingram has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Indiana Pacers due to calf soreness. This is the second game that Ingram has missed this season.
The one-time All-Star previously sat out the 128-100 away loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. Pelicans coach Willie Green said he doesn't see the injury as long-term.
Ingram's absence is a significant blow to the Pelicans. He leads the team in points (22.9) and 3-pointers made this season.

The Pelicans are already struggling with a lack of offense, as they are ranked last in the league in scoring this season (103.8). The injuries to the team have played a part in their poor start (4-13) to the season, the worst record in the Western Conference.
However, the team will get a boost with the return of CJ McCollum to the lineup. McCollum missed the last 14 games with a right abductor strain.
The Pelicans still have key players absent. Zion Williamson, Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones and Jose Alvarado are still absent. Murray is expected to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors.
Brandon Ingram parts ways with his agency
Brandon Ingram has reportedly cut ties with his agency, Excel Sports, according to Will Guillory and Kelly Iko of The Athletic. The reason behind the decision is unclear, but the star forward is entering the final year of his five-year, $158 million contract.
This change follows teammate Zion Williamson, who also made a similar decision.
Ingram, over the past six seasons spent with the Pelicans, has averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. He was the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. The Pelicans acquired him from the LA Lakers in a trade that involved Anthony Davis.
