"Why would you date Michael Jordan's son?" - Tamron Hall's Larsa Pippen interview asked the much-anticipated question

Talk show host Tamron Hall asked Larsa Pippen what millions of basketball fans and even casual observers have been dying to know. Pippen, the former wife of Scottie Pippen, is currently dating the son of Michael Jordan, Marcus Jordan.

On the “Tamron Hall Show,” the host dropped the long-awaited question on TV:

“The thing is — you are a beautiful woman. You can date anybody you wanted to. Why would you date Michael Jordan’s son, knowing that it’s been pretty clear that Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan didn’t have this relationship people thought and certainly don’t have it now?”

Larsa Pippen’s response was:

“I can’t basically explain how someone else feels. That’s what Scottie feels. He has the right to the way he feels. I personally don’t really care. I live my truth, I am happy. I didn’t plan it like that. It wasn’t like it was planned like that. I think we were just together a lot with our friends. And it just so happened.

“For me being married to someone that was an athlete, it’s really hard! You get scrutinized a lot. People don’t think you should have a life once you get divorced. They think once you’re divorced, you're done. I feel like I should have love. I should be able to date who I want. I should be able to live happy and go where I wanna go and not be judged."

After Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance” documentary came out, Scottie Pippen took offense to the way he was portrayed. Jordan’s former teammate felt like he was just being used as a “prop” and that MJ “couldn’t have been more condescending if he tried.”

Scottie and Larsa married in 1997 and announced that they were going their separate ways in 2015. Two years later, they rekindled their relationship before the “Real Wives of Miami” star filed for divorce in 2018. In 2021, they were officially divorced.

Age is a non-factor for Larsa Pippen when it comes to romantic relationships

In September 2022, basketball fans were intrigued by rumors linking Larsa Pippen to Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan’s son. In November of that same year, the two attended an LA Chargers game where Pippen was heckled:

"Hey Larsa, that's what you're doing? You're with the boy, Mike's son? You a cold motherf–ker, ain't you! You're cold as a motherf–ker, homie."

In 2023, Larsa Pippen and “The Trophy Room” owner made their relationship official on Instagram.

Here’s Pippen when asked by Tamron Hall about the age gap between her and Marcus Jordan:

“I’ve dated guys that were a lot older than me. Scottie is 10 years older than me. I don’t feel like that [age] determines if you’re mature or not. I feel like if you can drink at 21, then you can go to war at 18.
