"Wild time to be living in Indy": Fever development coach’s wife Falecia Porter reacts to Tyrese Haliburton's heroics in OKC's last-gasp comeback

Tyrese Haliburton is enjoying an impressive 2024-25 season and has undoubtedly been one of the factors for the Indiana Pacers' generational postseason run. Come Thursday, the Pacers - led by Haliburton - defied the odds once again.

With the game on the line and his team trailing by 109-110, the Indiana guard shot a 2-point jumper over the OKC Thunder defender to hand the Pacers a 1-0 lead against the series favorite.

The team's recent performances are something the Indiana faithful - or basketball fans in general - haven't witnessed or dreamed of in recent years. One such person who expressed excitement over the Pacers' run was Indiana Fever's player development coach Keith Porter's wife, Falecia Porter.

She posted a video of Tyrese Haliburton's game-winning shot in Game 1 of the NBA Finals and captioned the post with a hyped-up comment.

"It's a wild time to be living in Indy this is NOT normal!!!!" she wrote in the caption.

When this season comes to an end, irrespective of the result of this series, Tyrese Haliburton will not just have proved his critics wrong, but put them to shame for calling him "overrated." The Indy man with the perennial smiling face is proving to be the most dangerous one on the NBA court.

Tyrese Haliburton is on generational run of clutch moments in 2024-25 playoffs

The 2024-25 NBA postseason will forever be remembered for how good Haliburton was in clutch moments. In every series in these playoffs, Haliburton has made a game-tying or a game-winning shot four times.

He started this historic run in Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs. With the Bucks leading by 118-117 with just over 10 seconds remaining, Haliburton took it upon himself on the last play.

Tyrese Haliburton crossed former Defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo for a layup with just one second remaining. With no timeout remaining, Milwaukee missed the full-court shot and Haliburton took his team to the second round.

The next big shot came in the second round against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With under 10 seconds remaining in the game, Haliburton made one free throw to cut the Cavs' lead to 117-119. He intentionally missed the second free throw, grabbed the rebound, dribbled the ball to the top of the key and drained a stepback 3-pointer to give the Pacers a 2-0 lead in the series.

In the Conference finals Game 1 against the New York Knicks, Haliburton dribbled the ball across the court with his team trailing by 123-125. The ball was knocked out of his hands, but he recovered and made a jumper - just a toe-length inside the 3-point line - and tied the game. The Pacers eventually won the game in overtime.

Of course, nothing could beat the NBA Finals game-winning shot, but with six potential games left, are we sure that this was the last winning shot Tyrese Haliburton took in the NBA Finals?
