Sports TV personality Stephen A. Smith is a fan of Snoop Dogg’s marketing skills. He, in particular, cited how the rapper has the ability to persuade his audience to come on board with whatever he does.

Snoop recently made a surprise announcement that after all these years, he was giving up smoking weed. As it turned out, it was just part of a marketing ploy for the smokeless fire pit brand he was representing.

The effort involves him being featured in a 30-second broadcast spot alongside social, podcast, out-of-home, and digital elements. The spot touts the product not giving Snoop “coughing and his clothes smelling all sticky icky.”

In a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, Smith shared how the coy broadcast spot was genius and gave the rapper props for selling it well. He said:

“The man (Snoop) is brilliant. He is a brilliant marketer. He got the world ablaze. No pun intended. When we’re talking about him and say ‘What the hell is going on?’ Snoop. Snoop. Snoop. Millions upon millions upon millions of people. Snoop not going to do some weed? Snoop not going to give new meaning to the green room? Snoop is not gonna puff, puff and pass? What the hell is going on?”
“That is why Snoop is worth nine figures and 99.9% of the population is wishing they were him.”

Apart from dishing out classic tracks like “Still A G Thang,” “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” Snoop throughout the years has become a noted weed connoisseur of sorts, which has worked out well for him.

Apart from music, such a penchant for smoking pot has opened opportunities for him in acting and product endorsement as well.

Stephen A. Smith channeling his inner Dr. Ruth

Apart from his takes on various sporting affairs, Stephen A. Smith often shares his opinions here and there on other issues, including intimate ones.

On his popular TV program, the host of ESPN’s First Take has seen it fit to give intimate advice sought by his audience, leaving many to refer to him as the new-age Dr. Ruth.

Like the famous sex therapist, Smith has been giving advice on intimate stuff as some of the questions he fields on his show chart that direction.

There was one instance when someone asked for help to impress a lady he was dating. The man had told the lady that he knew how to cook, but in reality, he did not.

Here is what he said:

The best sex song? Smith had the answer:

Thoughts on Latinas? He kept it real, saying:

With this facet of his broadcasting game, there is no denying that Stephen A. Smith is continuously building on his TV legend.
