Bronny James is one of the most exciting prospects for the 2024 NBA Draft. He is a 6-foot-3 athletic guard who plays great basketball on both ends of the floor. However, his skills are not the reason why many basketball players are excited about him.

While Bronny is a great player, he is also the son of LeBron James, one of the greatest NBA players of all time. James is currently in his 20th season in the league and will most likely play a few more years, potentially teaming up with his son.

There is a lot of hype surrounding LeBron's son, but many fans are wondering if he's worth it.

Is Bronny James really worth the hype?

Bronny James is currently a 4-star prospect and the eighth-best point guard in his class. The 6-foot-3 guard is also the third-best player from California. Interestingly, Andrej Stojakovic, the son of Peja Stojakovic, is ranked slightly above Bronny.

According to ESPN, LeBron James' son is the 28th best player in his class. If we add a few more international prospects to the list, Bronny could fall all the way to the second round of the draft. However, he will certainly be a lottery pick.

If we take a look at Bronny James from a purely basketball perspective, he's definitely a great player. While he is not the most gifted scorer, the point guard makes up for the lack of scoring with his hard-working defense.

The young basketball player has an elite bounce and is very athletic, which is why he's a lot of fun to watch. James is a smart passer, but his scoring hasn't been very consistent, which isn't a big deal at this stage.

While Bronny James is far from being the perfect player, no one expects him to be that good yet. He is still in high school but will have a chance to play college or overseas basketball very soon.

The young star has received several scholarship offers, including offers from Michigan and Ohio State. He hasn't decided where to go yet, but there is no doubt that this choice will greatly affect the future hype that surrounds him.

Bronny will have a chance to further polish his game while playing college basketball. While it is very unlikely that he will be a superstar in the NBA, he could be a great role player.

Comparing Bronny to LeBron James is simply not fair. LeBron is simply too big, too strong and too athletic. Bronny, however, could be compared to other decent two-way players, such as Avery Bradley.

Bradley is another 6-foot-3 guard who has played well on both ends of the floor. He was never one of the best players at his position, but his effort and hard work kept him in the league for 12 years and allowed him to make $66 million in contracts.

Bronny definitely deserves all the hype that surrounds him. He may not be a superstar when he enters the NBA, but the league will have another young talented player who will play well and create many highlights.

Why Bronny James will be a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft

Choosing Bronny James as a lottery pick seems like a great idea for many NBA teams. It's important to note that LeBron James has a player option on his contract for the 2024-25 season and will be able to opt out of his deal in the summer of 2024.

The 20-year NBA veteran has already expressed his desire to play alongside his son, which is what makes Bronny much more valuable. Considering that LeBron's net worth is valued at more than $1 billion, he will not care about the type of contract he gets.

Whichever team drafts Bronny James could also sign LeBron to a minimum deal. Considering that the four-time NBA champion hasn't shown signs of slowing down, he will most likely be a decent player in the 2024-25 season as well.

Even if James slows down, he will definitely be worth a minimum deal. Additionally, the father-son duo will be extremely fun to watch and could drastically improve the popularity of any team, especially small-market teams.
