Warzone has seen the arrival and dissolution of several strategies. One in particular has always provoked the ire of players, and that is stacking. Teams using this strategy have a numerical advantage over players playing solo or those who have teams with fewer members. Stacking is a controversial topic within the community as many think of it to be unsportsmanlike.

This article will explain how stacking is used in Warzone and why it has been a cause of frustration for many players over the years,

Stacking in Warzone explained

Stacking involves all four members of a team sticking together, thereby maintaining close proximity all throughout the match. By remaining tightly grouped, they are able to make the most of their supports and also cover each other’s blind spots. Stacking helps players maintain effective communication, position themselves strategically, and react more swiftly to enemy threats.

However, stacking is considered problematic since some teams choose to play very defensively. All members of the team stack together in a secluded location, on top of a rooftop or inside a small room. In such cases, it becomes very difficult for solo players or smaller teams to take them on. Opponents get even more frustrated when the stacked team refuses to engage in encounters and instead patiently waits for others to fall into their trap.

Stacking may also disrupt the flow of popular competitive formats, In ranked matches like kill races, where teams compete to secure the highest number of kills in a match, smaller teams of two may find themselves at a significant disadvantage when pitted against full quad teams employing stacking tactics. The individual skill level of a solo player can almost outmatch the numerical advantage of a stacked team.

Stacking has long divided players in the Warzone community. While some believe it is simply a consequence of effective team planning and coordination, others find it to be a shrewd strategy that ruins the overall enjoyment of playing the game for the rest of the lobby.
