During his sophomore season, Brown competed in 10 games passing for 1,319 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Later, he transferred to Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, where he completed his senior year. There, he passed for 4,881 yards with 57 touchdown passes while also rushing for 430 yards and eight touchdowns. Brown was rated a three-star recruit.
