Gunner Stockton is a quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs and will be a redshirt sophomore in 2024. He hails from Tiger, Georgia, and attended Rabun County High School. Stockton enrolled at the University of Georgia and commenced his collegiate career in 2022. He made his college football debut in 2023, playing in four games as a rotational quarterback. Stockton completed 12 passes out of 19 attempts to register 148 yards for two touchdowns and 74 rushing yards. In the 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl against Florida State, he threw for 96 yards for two touchdowns and made the season's longest pass of 31 yards.

Stockton registered 13,652 passing yards for 117 touchdowns, which is a record for a high schooler in Georgia. He was named the 2021 Georgia Gatorade Football Player of the Year and also earned a selection in the All-Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super 11 team.
