
Jalen Catalon is a collegiate football player for the Missouri Tigers in the Southeastern Conference. Prior to transferring to the Tigers, he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks, Texas Longhorns, and UNLV Rebels. He plays as a safety and defensive back and started his collegiate career in 2019. According to the UNLV Rebels website, Catalon played in four games as a true freshman in 2019. Before suffering an injury and missing the remainder of the 2022 season, Catalon started the season opener against Cincinnati and recorded eight tackles. In 2022, Phil Steele selected him to the Preseason First Team All-America.
Catalon graduated from Mansfield Legacy High School in 2019. He was a four-year varsity letterwinner, and Rivals ranked him as the 20th best safety in the country. Additionally, 247Sports ranked him 29th overall in the state of Texas. The Dallas Morning News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Associated Press, and District 10- 5A all named Catalon the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year, as per his college roster.
