Miles Scott is one of the highly-rated defensive backs in college football who will be in his fourth year with the Illinois Fighting Illini. Scott started playing high school football at St. Thomas More where he also competed in the track team for two years. The strong safety from Dolton was rated a three-star recruit and the No.10 overall player in the state of Illinois in the 2021 recruiting class. Out of high school, Scott received a few college offers including Army, Columbia, Nebraska and Yale but decided to embark on his collegiate football journey with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Coming out of Dolton as the No. 337 wide receiver in the nation, Scott saw limited action in his rookie campaign, playing in four games and redshirting the year. In 2022, he continued his role on special teams and recorded four receptions for 29 yards in all 13 games. After spending two years at Illinois as a wide receiver, Scott moved to defensive back and started all 12 games at safety in his sophomore campaign in 2023. Scott was second on the team with 63 total tackles and was an Academic All-Big Ten honor.
