List of Oregon Ducks Football Bowl Games

The Oregon Ducks football team represents the University of Oregon and competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a part of the North Division in the Pac-12 Conference. Oregon's bowl history highlights matchups against rivals like Colorado and Ohio State. Seven different head coaches have guided the Ducks to bowl games, with Mike Bellotti leading the list of appearances with 12. From 2009 to 2012, Chip Kelly filled in as head coach and took the team to BCS bowls in each of his four seasons. Oregon faced defeat in the 2010 Rose Bowl and the 2011 BCS National Championship. Kelly secured victories in the 2012 Rose Bowl against Wisconsin and the Party Bowl against Kansas State the following year.

Oregon Ducks’ Bowl Games List

The Oregon Ducks started playing in the bowl games in the 1916 season. They first competed in the Rose Bowl against Penn Quakers at Tournament Park on January 1, 1917. The Ducks clinched a win with a score of 14-0 under coach Hugo Bezdek.

Oregon Ducks Bowl Game Record

Established in 1893, the Ducks have participated in 37 bowl games and accomplished an overall record of 17 wins and 20 losses, as of December 2024. Among these appearances, eight are in the traditional "big four" bowl games (Rose, Sugar, Cotton, and Orange Bowls). The other three were in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS), including the 2011 National Championship Game.
