Oronde Gadsden II is a tight end and played the 2024 season as a redshirt junior for the Syracuse Orange. He is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and attended American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. Despite offers from some of the top programs like Penn State, Baylor, and Kentucky, Gadsden committed to Syracuse University.

Oronde Gadsden II's freshman year at Syracuse was remarkable, making two receptions for 24 yards in eight games. His sophomore season in 2022 was transitional from the slot receiver to the tight end position. That season, he made 61 receptions for 969 yards and six touchdowns. This performance earned him the prestigious title of First Team All-ACC and the Bill Maxwell Award for the most improved player in the Syracuse offense.

He also played for the Frankfurt Galaxy of the WLAF and the Portland Forest Dragons of the Arena Football League (AFL). Gadsden played college football at Winston-Salem State University.

Oronde Gadsden joined the Miami Dolphins as a 27-year-old rookie. Gadsden started 12 games that season, finishing with 48 receptions, 713 yards, and seven receiving touchdowns. He was notable for winning the Super Bowl XXX championship in the 1995 season when his team, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers. He led the team with a career-high 803 yards and 6 touchdowns in 1999 and 56 receptions for 786 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2000.
