Ryan Montgomery played five long seasons for the Cincinnati Bearcats as a running back. Ryan is from Franklin, Ohio. He is a multi-sport talent hailing from Franklin High School. While playing for the Bearcats he was also enrolled for a master's degree in Behavior Analysis. He was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN, his rating justified his ability to play both basketball and football brilliantly. During his collegiate career, he was an excellent contributor and a punt returner as a running back. For the Bearcats, he rushed for some significant amounts of yards and scored plenty of touchdowns. His versatility and leadership shine through in several of his performances. He played some extensive minutes which resulted in some hounded injuries. Montgomery has shown his mettle and resilience in situations where most players would have just given up. He squarely established himself as a reliable player whom the Bearcats could always count on.

Ryan Montgomery's best performance turned in during the 2023 season. He finished the season with 329 rushing yards and a touchdown on 54 carries through eight games. He added 11 receptions while rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns, he also returned two punts for 16 yards. Montgomery had his best game against UCF, in which he rushed for a career-high 113 yards and one touchdown on eight carries. Another great performance was that against Miami (Ohio) attempting for 20 rushes for 104 yards. He suffered a mid-season injury that season and was sidelined for a month, yet he participated in the remaining four games. Those 4 games were very decisive for his career, he showed great determination and skill. All these efforts paid off in a memorable career total of 1,058 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, and 688 punt return yards to his name, which set a legacy at the University of Cincinnati.
