Shedeur Sanders is a quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes and will play as a senior in 2024. Sanders hails from Dallas, Texas, and attended Trinity Christian High School. He joined Jackson State for two seasons in 2021 and 2022 before transferring to Colorado. He played under head coach Andre' Hart. During his four years, he completed 805 of 1,238 passes for 12,627 yards and 166 touchdowns, with a 47-5 record for his team. His freshman year was remarkable, he helped his team win the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state championship. As a sophomore, his team finished with a 14-0 record and registered 3,088 yards for 42 touchdowns. During his junior season, his team again won the state championship and contributed with 3,477 yards and 47 passing touchdowns. In his senior season, Sanders threw for 3,702 yards and 43 touchdowns, leading his team to the 2020 TCAL National Championship.

Shedeur Sanders won numerous accolades throughout his collegiate football career. He received Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year and also earned a mention in the All-Pac-12 in 2023. Sanders completed 3,230 yards with 31 touchdowns, breaking Colorado's single-season record for passing yards and completion percentage. The record included a historic 510-yard exhibition against TCU, which earned him three national Player of the Week honors. Sanders helped Jackson State to a 23-3 record over two seasons and won two SWAC championships. He also set school records for passing touchdowns and completions with 70 touchdown passes and 6,983 yards. Among his accolades, he was a Walter Payton Award finalist, SWAC Offensive Player of the Year, and won multiple All-American recognition. As a freshman, he earned the Jerry Rice FCS National Freshman of the Year, which labeled him as one of the brightest young talents in college football.
