Shedeur Sanders is an American football player, serving as a quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes. Sanders started playing college football as a quarterback with the Jackson State Tigers in 2021. That same season, the Tigers went on to win their first SWAC title since 2013.

Shedeur Sanders transferred to Colorado in 2023 after completing his sophomore year at Jackson State. He guided JSU to a 23-3 overall record with a 16-0 mark in SWAC rounds. He led Jackson State to two SWAC championships, and the program won its first championship since 2007. The team also made its first two appearances in the Celebration Bowl, popularly known as the HBCU National Championship game.

Sanders earned the SWAC Offensive POW honors, SWAC Freshman of the Year, and Stats Perform Jerry Rice FCS National Freshman of the Year. He was named in the BOXTOROW Pre-season All-American, SWAC Pre-season Player of the Year, and First-Team Pre-season All-SWAC.
