The Tulane Green Wave represents Tulane University and is a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC). The Tulane Green Wave won one division championship and has a bowl record of 7-10. In 1931, they won their first and only National Championship. The Green Wave is coached by Jon Sumrall, who joined in 2023. Their four main rivals are Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss. The fans chant their fighting song ‘The Olive and the Blue’ during their match days. Their home stadium is the Yulman Stadium located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their mascot is called the ‘Riptide’ and they have a supporting band known as the ‘Tulane University Marching Band.’

The Tulane Green Wave had a remarkable 2024 season under head coach Jon Sumrall and finished the regular season with a 9-3 record. They also became eligible for the American Athletic Conference Championship Game. The running back, Makhi Hughes, rushed for 1,291 yards and 15 touchdowns. The quarterback, Darian Mensah also completed 65.9% of his passes for 2,723 yards and 22 touchdowns. They concluded the season with a No. 25 ranking in the Associated Press poll.
