Ty Robinson is a former colelgiate football defensive tackle for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big Ten Conference. Robinson started his football career at Higley High School where he was regarded as one of the most coveted defensive linemen in the nation. He was tabbed the fourth best player in the state of Arizona by every major sports outlet. In his final season of prep career, Robinson recorded 74 tackles and seven sacks. Robinson was ranked the No.166 overall recruit in the nation in the class of 2019 by ESPN. In his freshman season, Robinson played in only three games and redshirted his first year as a Cornhusker. As a redshirt freshman in 2020, Robinson appeared in all eight games in the COVID-hit season and finished the year with 17 tackles with two tackles for loss. Again in 2021, Robinson saw action in 12 games and recorded 27 tackles, four tackles for a loss, and two sacks. In 2022, Robinson was honoured with Nebraska’s co-Defensive Lineman of the Year after recording 24 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks. Last season, Robinson followed up with better numbers as he posted a career-high 29 tackles with four tackles for loss and was an instrumental part of the Blackshirt defense.
