Kirby Smart is the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs college football team in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) as of July 2025. Smart was also a former college football player for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1995 to 1998. During his time as a college football player, Kirby Smart earned First-team All-SEC honors during his senior year. Additionally, he was also the SEC leader in interceptions during his final college football year.

After Kirby Smart ended his college football playing career, he transitioned to coaching following his short stint with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He started his coaching career in 1999 and coached in various colleges and even the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was selected as the AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2012. Eventually, he joined the Georgia Bulldogs as their head coach in 2016 and has been with the team ever since. He won two CFP national championships, three SEC titles, and six SEC East Division titles with his team since then. Besides, he also won the George Munger Award in 2017.
