Kirby Smart is in his ninth year as the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs college football team in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) as of the 2024-2025 season. Smart was also a former college football player for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1995 to 1998. During his time as a college football player, Kirby Smart earned First-team All-SEC honors during his senior year. Additionally, he was also the SEC in interceptions during his final college football year.

According to ESPN, Kirby Smart has signed a 10-year contract with the Georgia Bulldogs. This contract is valued at $130 million, with $13 million as an annual salary. Kirby Smart's contract runs through 2033 and half of his contract is guaranteed. He will also receive bonuses worth $1.55 million.
