Matt Rhule is one of the most well-known coaches in college football. He is the head coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team for the second year in 2024. Rhule hails from New York City, where he was born and raised. He attended Pennsylvania State University, where he became part of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team as a linebacker from 1994-97. He then kicked off his coaching career with the same Penn State Nittany Lions football team as a volunteer assistant.

Over the subsequent ten years, Rhule accumulated coaching expertise at different institutions. In 2008, he assumed the position of offensive coordinator at Temple University. Following a brief stint with the NFL's New York Giants, Rhule resumed his position as the head coach at Temple in 2013. Under his leadership, the Owls achieved an impressive milestone of two ten-win seasons, a feat that hadn't been accomplished since 1979. Subsequently, Rhule took on the head coaching position at Baylor University, where, despite facing initial challenges, he led the team to an exceptional 11–3 record in 2019. He also head-coached the Carolina Panthers of the NFL , before becoming the head coach at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Matt Rhule salary 2024

Matt Rhule signed an eight-year contract with the Nebraska Cornhuskers on November 26, 2022, solidifying his position as their thirty-first head coach. Rhule's eight-year contract, which extends through the 2030 college football season, initially Matt Rhule salary is $5.5 million for the year 2023.

Matt Rhule salary will see a gradual increase, with an additional $1 million annually through 2026, eventually reaching $8.5 million. From 2028 onwards, the annual increments will reduce to $500,000. In the final year of 2030, Matt Rhule salary will be $12.5 million.
