The Nainital-born right-handed top-order batsman played in this year’s IPL for the Kolkata Knight Riders. He was named as the replacement of Yuvraj Singh after he endured an ankle injury during the tournament. Though Manish was a member India’s World T20 squad but didn’t play a single match.
The 26-year-old had a decent season with the bat for the Kolkata-based franchise. The explosive batsman accumulated 248 runs in 12 matches this season with an average of 31 and with a good strike-rate of 135.51. The Karnataka batsman also scored two brilliant half-centuries and took seven catches in the tournament.
