The right-handed opener from Mumbai played from the newcomers Rising Pune Supergiants in this year’s IPL. It has been a very tough first season for the newly former franchise as they finished the tournament as the second last spot on the points table.

However, the 27-year-old batsman was quite brilliant throughout the tournament. In 14 matches, he accumulated 480 runs at an average of 43.63 and with a strike-rate of 126.64. Rahane didn’t get many chances in the World T20 but certainly did well through his performance in the IPL.
