The right-handed batsman led the Mumbai Indians in this year’s tournament. The 29-year-old played a very important role for his side with the bat and also led them from the front. However, Mumbai didn’t qualify for the playoffs but they played some exciting brand of cricket in the tournament.
Rohit ended the tournament as the highest run scorer for his team. In 14 matches this season, he scored 489 runs at an excellent average of 44.45 and with a healthy strike-rate of 132.88. The Mumbai-born batsman scored five fifties in the tournament with the highest score of unbeaten 85.
