UFC 297: Allen v Evloev
UFC 297: Allen v Evloev

Arnold Allen's last fight was against the undefeated Movsar Evloev at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Despite having superior striking skills, Arnold Allen faced significant challenges against Movsar Evloev. Allen established an effective jab early on, but Evloev's persistent attempts to close the distance and utilize his wrestling proved successful as he managed to take Allen down multiple times. Although Allen displayed grit in getting back to his feet, he struggled to break free from Evloev's control throughout the three-round bout.

In the second round, Allen adjusted his stance to anticipate Evloev's takedown attempts and maintained aggressive striking without overextending. However, Evloev landed a powerful straight left in the final minute, causing Allen to wobble and suffer a cut under his left eye. Despite Allen retaliating with a series of knees after stuffing a takedown, a pause in the action occurred as the knees were deemed illegal due to Evloev being considered a downed opponent.

While no points were deducted, Evloev resumed the fight on his feet. The featherweights continued their high-paced battle, with Allen attempting a ninja choke late in the bout. Ultimately, Evloev did enough to secure the victory, extending his ascent in the featherweight rankings. Meanwhile, Allen, who started his UFC career with 10 consecutive wins, has now faced two consecutive losses.
