Chris Curtis

Christopher Alan Curtis, an American MMA fighter, currently competes in the UFC's middleweight division. With a professional career starting in 2009, he has also fought in the PFL. As of April 2024, Curtis held the 14th spot in the UFC middleweight rankings. Curtis retired and returned three times.

Curtis achieved an impressive 18-5 record in the North American regional circuit, claiming welterweight titles at CES MMA, Z Promotions, and the Premier MMA Championship. After being invited to Dana White's Contender Series 9 in June 2018, Curtis retired from the sport despite winning his fight against Sean Lally by third-round knockout due to not receiving a UFC contract.

However, he returned to action on January 21, 2019, capturing the Z Promotions Middleweight title with a majority decision victory over Matt Dwyer. Although Curtis suffered a loss against Magomedkerimov in the quarterfinals of PFL 7 in October 2019 and retired, he later came out of retirement to replace an ill Magomedkerimov against Ray Cooper III in the semifinals. Unfortunately, Curtis suffered a second-round knockout loss and retired once again. Yet Curtis couldn't stay away for long, defending his Z Promotions championship in January 2020 by securing a corner stoppage victory over Darren Smith Jr. in the fourth round.
