Deontay Wilder has lost two professional bouts while competing as a professional. His first loss came against Tyson Fury on February 22, 2020, while defending the WBC men’s heavyweight championship. Fury knocked him out and picked up a win via seventh-round knockout.

Deontay Wilder again shared the squared circle with Tyson Fury in a rematch on October 9, 2021, for the WBC and The Ring magazine heavyweight titles. After fighting him for eleven rounds, Wilder came up short and was knocked out in the eleventh round by Fury, thus failing to reclaim the heavyweight championships.
