Jamahal Hill is a leading professional mixed martial artist currently active in the light heavyweight division. He is signed with the elite Ultimate Fighting Championship and is the former light heavyweight champion of the promotion. Born on May 19, 1991, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Hill has been a part of 16 professional fights so far. Hill made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2017 and took off his professional journey with a unanimous decision victory. He went on to win six consecutive fights and made his promotional debut in the UFC on January 25, 2020. Hill competed at Dana White’s Contender Series 21 against Alexander Poppeck, whom he defeated via third-round TKO. He was given a UFC contract after the fight in 2019.

In his debut showdown in the promotion, Jamahal Hill shared the octagon with Darko Stosic at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Dos Santos on January 25, 2020. He defeated Stosic by a unanimous decision and propelled forward as a professional in the promotion. After producing impressive performances, Hill got a shot at the light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 on January 21, 2023. After a back-and-forth lasting five rounds, Jamahal Hill was able to outclass the defending champion, Glover Teixeira, by a unanimous decision and become the new champion of the division. Months later, Hill relinquished his championship after suffering a torn ACL.
