Josh Taylor, aka The Tartan Tornado, was born on January 2, 1991 and is a former undisputed super lightweight champion with IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO and Ring Magazine titles between 2019 and 2023. Following his victory over José Ramírez in 2021, Taylor became the first Briton and the second Scottish to hold the title of undisputed champion in the four-belt era.

Taylor became the sixth male boxer to unify all four major titles in the light-welterweight division by reigning as the undisputed champion from May 2021 to May 2022. Known for his aggressive southpaw, Taylor has a professional boxing record of 19 wins from 20 bouts, including 13 KOs (68%).

He was the Commonwealth light-welterweight champion from 2016 to 2017 (regional) during his amateur career. He also won the light-welterweight title in 2014 and a silver medal in the lightweight division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. His box-am record was 76 bouts, winning 52 and losing 24.
