Roman Dolidze is a Georgian mixed martialist. He currently competes in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Born on July 15, 1988, in Batumi, Georgia, Dolidze first trained in soccer for eight years, having played professionally as a goalkeeper. At 20 years old, he changed his focus to Brazilian jiu-jitsu, leading him to become a World Grappling Champion and European Grappling Champion under United World Wrestling rules.
Dolidze then started his professional career in MMA in 2016, swiftly making a name for himself by earning wins in various submission techniques and knockouts. In 2018, he captured the WWFC Light Heavyweight Championship. He signed with the UFC in 2019. After serving a short-term drug suspension, he made his UFC debut in 2020 and defeated Khadis Ibragimov via TKO.
