He won the bout in the inaugural round by knockout. Tuivasa has the distinction of being the first Australian Aborigine to fight in one of the largest MMA promotions in the world.

Due to his impressive performances, he has won Performance of the Night 4 times and is the one-time recipient of the Fight of the Night award as well. MMA fighter who drinks out of shoes

Tai Tuivasa drinks from the worn footwear known as “shoey.” His “shoey” celebrations have made him popular for the act after fights in or outside the octagon. In 2018, at UFC 225, he asked Joe Rogan for his shoe for a "shoey,” but the veteran UFC commentator didn’t oblige him. He exited the cage and was immediately offered a shoe filled with beer by a fan, which he chugged before going backstage.

Tai Tuivasa also made UFC President Dana White do his signature “shoey” celebration. While enacting "shoey,” he uses someone else’s used shoe, sneaker, or cowboy boot filled with beer and gulps from it as fast as he can. This celebration of the Aussie heavyweight competitor has established him as a fan favorite in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and fans are often seen offering him beer in their footwear at UFC events.

Tai Tuivasa's ranking in UFC

Tai Tuivasa is ranked No.10 in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He witnessed his ranking slide after suffering four consecutive losses in his recent fights.
