Walker Johnny da Silva Barra de Souza, aka Johnny Walker, was born on March 30, 1992, and is a professional mixed martial artist of Brazilian-Irish descent. He currently competes in the light heavyweight division for the UFC. Walker began competing professionally in 2013; to get entry into the UFC, he first competed in the Brazilian Jungle Fight, then in Dana White's Contender Series.

Walker made his debut on Dana White's Contender Series in August 2018 and triumphed against Henrique da Silva through a unanimous decision. Walker made his UFC debut on November 17, 2018, at UFC Fight Night 140 against Khalil Rountree Jr. He prevailed via first-round knockout and was awarded his first Performance of the Night bonus following the bout.

Walker defeated Anthony Smith in their most recent bout, which took place at the UFC on ABC 4 in May 2023. Walker's victory was decided unanimously. Johnny Walker's victories over Justin Ledet, Misha Cirkunov, Ion Cuţelaba, and Khalil Rountree Jr. have earned him the title of Ultimate Fighting Championship Performance of the Night four times.

Walker has also won championships in the European Beatdown (EBD) as the 2018 EBD Light Heavyweight Champion and the Ultimate Challenge MMA (UCMMA) as the 2018 UCMMA Light Heavyweight Champion. In addition, MMAJunkie.com named him the 2019 February Knockout of the Month.

Johnny Walker Weight Class

Johnny Walker fights in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. Johnny Walker’s height is 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm) and he was last weighed at 205 pounds (93 kg). In mixed martial arts, the term "light heavyweight" describes a weight class that typically includes fighters who weigh between 186 and 205 lb (84 and 93 kg). It is situated in between the heavyweight and lighter middleweight divisions. The Association of Boxing Commissions and the Nevada State Athletic Commission have established a light heavyweight limit of 205 lb (93 kg).

How tall is Johnny Walker?

Johnny Walker is 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm) tall. The light heavyweight class of mixed martial arts (MMA) considers 6 feet 6 inches (78 inches) to be a relatively tall height. It is regarded as being above average in the light heavyweight class.

The normal height range for light heavyweight competitors is between 6 feet (72 inches) and 6 feet 4 inches (76 inches). Therefore, Johnny Walker has a reach advantage due to his height of 6 feet 6 inches, which can be useful for both defensive and striking tactics.

But it's crucial to remember that in mixed martial arts, fighter abilities, techniques, and general athleticism are just as important—if not more so—than physical stature and reach. Taller fighters might have some benefits, but training and physical characteristics work together to make a successful fighter.
