Michael Vick will now host an eight-part documentary that will focus on African American quarterbacks in the National Football League.

Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick is a FOX Sports analyst every Sunday morning on the NFL Kickoff show. On Wednesday morning, he announced another new venture that will see him host an eight-part docu-series.

Vick will be the executive producer, as well as the host, of the series that will feature the evolution of African American quarterbacks in the NFL. The announcement was made by Fubo Studios and SMAC productions, who will produce the series.

As part of the series, the former NFL quarterback will interview some of the biggest names in the league. This includes quarterbacks Cam Newton and Patrick Mahomes, who have been a part of the evolution of Black quarterbacks in the league. Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, as well as former head coach Tony Dungy, will also be featured in the series. Vick will also talk about his journey of becoming a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Vick spoke about the opportunity to work with Fubo Studios to create this special documentary. He said that he never dreamed that he would be the number one pick in the Draft. He also said that he wanted to pay homage to the quarterbacks who came before him, who allowed him to have the opportunity that he did.

"I'm excited to be a part of this project because, as a kid, I just wanted to have a shot at playing in the National Football League. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be the first African-American quarterback drafted No. 1. I know that was a big step for us in society. I was always told that I revolutionized the quarterback position, but I also like to give credit to the ones who I idolized as a kid and who paved the way like Randall Cunningham, Steve McNair and Donovan McNabb.
When you look at the evolution of the Black quarterback, it's because of the people that came before us. And now, I'm thankful for the dual-threat concept that has changed the game for the better."

While there is no release date set for the upcoming series, some time in 2023 seems about accurate.

Michael Vick doesn't believe that Lamar Jackson should take top money from Ravens

Quarterback Lamar Jackson spent all offseason trying to negotiate a contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens. As his own agent, Jackson and Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta had several meetings about a possible contract but were never able to come to an agreement. The Ravens quarterback set a deadline for negotiations not to take place during the regular season. He is now playing on a contract year, with many speculating that the quarterback could leave the team after this season.

Michael Vick spoke to Shannon Sharpe on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast and said that he doesn't believe that Lamar Jackson should take the max money that the Baltimore Ravens are likely to offer him after the season.

"It makes sense for you to get the most money that you can possibly make in this game, because like you said, one false move and the season ends and maybe a career-ending injury and you may get treated a certain way. And so that's logical, that can become a fact.
"But, 1) I think Cleveland made that move to make it hard for Baltimore 2) when you accept this type of money, the money thing that becomes true is that it's hard to sign other guys. It's hard to keep teams together. You will eventually have to restructure, and to me, it limits your chances of going out and getting that championship."

Vick believes that Jackson shouldn't take the maz amount of money that the Baltimore Ravens or any other team offers him. He said that, when a player gets paid that much money in a big contract, the team can't afford to sign another big talent because of the salary cap space it took to sign the one player.

Vick said that he believes that it could cost Jackson an opportunity to win a championship because he won't have the supporting team members around him that he would need.
