Romina Oprandi: A Brief Biography

Romina Sarina Oprandi is a professional tennis player who represented Italy from her professional debut in 2005 until January 2012, when she joined the Swiss tennis federation. She has won 22 ITF singles titles and 10 ITF doubles titles in her illustrious career. A WTA Tour player who also plays on the ITF Circuit, Oprandi first came to prominence when she reached the quarterfinals of a WTA Tier I event in Rome as a qualifier. Romina won yet another ITF singles title at Denain in 2006. In 2008, Romania played in an ITF tournament in Germany, in Wahlstedt where she won the title, defeating all her opponents in relatively simple straight-set matches. The following year she partnered with Sandra Martinovic to win the doubles title at Buchen. The duo won all three of their doubles matches in tie-breaks.
