Appearance
Cramorant looks most like a blue pelican and it not only takes its looks from the avian, but also its appetite. In terms of looks Cramorant has mostly blue wings, with a tuft of white on its chest and has green eyes, a yellow beak, and a tuft of blue feathers on the top of its head.
Behavior
Cramorant is not the smartest Pokemon you’ll meet. In fact, this Pokemon really has only one singular goal: to eat. It’s preferred prey is Arrokuda but due to it’s forgetful nature, this accident prone Pokemon can sometimes find an entirely different Pokemon in its beak, such as a particularly popular Electric Pokemon. Very forgetful, Cramorant can even forget who it’s battling, but never a trainer that they trust. Still, food is their first priority and that doesn’t stop them from attacking their trainer if they see them stealing their food.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Surprisingly, this Pokemon has some pretty well rounded stats. While a jack of all trades, Cramorant doesn't necessarily excel in a particular stat, leaving many trainers wanting for more. Cramorant’s highest stat is Special Defense, while it’s lowest is Defense. Playing the long game is tricky for this Pokemon, as the right strategy can take out Cramorant quite easily if the player is not careful during battle.
Cramorant is a Flying Water type, meaning that in battles, this Pokemon is resistant against Bug, Fighting, Steel, Water and Fire type moves. However, it takes four times the normal damage from Electric type moves and is also weak to Rock type moves while it is immune to Ground type moves.
Best moveset for Cramorant
Defog | Roost |
Surf | Brave Bird |
This moveset emphasizes denying the opponent the weather advantage and dealing damage at the cost of health. Defog clears the battle area, at the cost of one evasion point, Roost restores half of Cramorant’s health and Surf allows Cramorant to use either Gulping or Gorging, allowing them to throw a Pokemon from it’s beak at the opponent’s Pokemon. At half health or lower, Cramorant will throw a Pikachu, potentially paralyzing the opponent
Shiny Cramorant
Finding a Shiny Cramorant is tricky to find because the odds of finding one in the wild is very low and the numbers are not in your favor. But the main difference between a normal and Shiny Cramorant is very obvious, as Shiny Cramorant’s coat is now orange, though that’s about it color wise. Beyond that, nothing else changes with its eyes, feet and even the tuft of white on its body all remaining the same colour. To get a Shiny Cramorant of your own, you’ll have to find one in the wild, hatch one from eggs, or you could always find someone willing to trade one. Like all shiny Pokemon, Shiny Cramorant gains a starry animation when it enters a battle.
