Appearance of Dracovish

Dracovish is a hybrid Pokemon. It consists of the head of a fossilized fish and the body, back legs, and tail of a dinosaur. Dracovish’s legs are mostly green with pink highlights. Its feet have three red claws. Dracovish has a stripe going up its neck with spikes coming out of it. Dracovish has a rounded, triangular plate on its head. It has round eyes with dark pupils. Its mouth opens wide to a dark interior with no appearance of teeth. It has sharp pinsirs on its face that may serve as teeth

Behavior of Dracovish

Dracovish was said to be the apex predator of its time. This is largely due to its incredibly strong jaw and legs. These legs were able to run over 40 mph at top speed. Dracovish is entirely aquatic, though, and can’t breathe unless underwater. Dracovish allegedly went extinct originally because it overhunted its prey and ran out of food. This is unconfirmed.

Strengths and Weaknesses

In Pokemon Sword and Shield, Dracovish is a Water/Dragon-type Pokemon, making it weak against Dragon and Fairy types. Dracovish does not have a long list of counters.

Shiny Dracovish

The Shiny Dracovish is relatively the same as the original Dracovish, just with a few color swaps. Rather than green and pink, its legs and lower body are colored black and gray. The blue and red on Dracovish’s head are replaced with purple and creme colors on the Shiny Dracovish. Shiny Dracovish retains its major features, like the spikes and the rounded plate atop its head. The rounded plate does appear to be slightly less triangular on Shiny Dracovish.

How to catch Dracovish in Pokemon Go?

Currently, Dracovish is not in Pokemon Go. This Pokemon is exclusive to Pokemon: Sword and Shield right now. There may be a Pokemon Go Dracovish in the future, but right now no Fossil Pokemon have made their way onto the hit mobile app.

  3. Dracovish was designed for Sword and Shield by Hitoshi Ariga, along with the other Galarian fossils.
  4. In the anime, Dracovish is given its name by Cara Liss, a mysterious researcher from the Galar region. She is the only one who can revive fossils.

FAQs

Q. Why is Dracovish so good?

Dracovish is a rare Pokemon in that it doesn’t really have counters due to its ability to hit its checks and switches with certain moves really hard.

Q. Is Dracovish a Legendary Pokemon?

No, while it has been considered Legendary because it shares a lot of characteristics with Legendary Pokemon, it is a Fossil Pokemon, not a Legendary.

Q. Is Dracovish a good Pokemon to have?

Yes, Dracovish’s 90 base attack and 75 speed make it a great physical sweeper. Keep in mind it’ll need to be trained to achieve that status, but the stats are there. Trainers will also want it to have Adamant or Jolly Nature to boost Attack and Speed. It does cost Special Attack, though.

Q. Did Ash ever catch a Dracovish?

Yes, Ash caught a Dracovish in Pokemon Journeys: The Series. The Dracovish was the fifth catch by Ash, the second Pokemon from Galar and 57th catch overall.

Conclusion

Dracovish is a strong Pokemon that ruled its ecosystem in its day. Though it has gone extinct, many players strive to revive it in Pokemon: Sword and Shield. It is considered to be the strongest Fossil Pokemon, making it a good choice when presented with options to revive in the game. Cara Liss is the only one who can revive it.
