Kane Allen Brown is an American singer, TikToker, and an online media personality. Although he’s more commonly known due to his songs, he first came into the limelight due to social media. He released his first extended play in 2015 and his first single a few months later with his first full-length album, the self-titled Kane Brown, released in December 2016. His popular single "What Ifs" came from this album, and in October 2017, Brown became the first artist to have simultaneous number ones on all five main Billboard country charts.

Brown, was born on 21 October 1993 and he was raised in rural northwest Georgia and in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. Brown grew up listening to country music, but in middle school, he became interested in R&B. He began to sing country music after winning a school talent event in 11th grade with a rendition of Chris Young's "Gettin' You Home."


Brown has been nominated for and won many awards. In 2018, Brown won Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards, Favorite Country Male Artist, Favorite Country Album and Favorite Country Song at American Music Awards and Most Passionate Fanbase of 2018, Most Jaw-Dropping Performance of 2018 and Best Country Album at the Taste of Country Fan Choice Awards. In 2019, he won Favorite Country Male Artist at the American Music Awards and Male Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards. In 2021, he won Video of the Year at the ACM awards.

Brown started posting videos of himself singing covers of songs by Brantley Gilbert, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, and other artists on social media in 2014. On Facebook, he gained a following for his amateur videos. His cover of Lee Brice's “I Don't Dance” was one of his first viral videos. His cover of George Strait's "Check Yes or No" became a YouTube sensation, with over seven million views. Brown raised money through crowdfunding for his first extended play Closer in 2014. The album was released in 2015 and debuted on the Top Country Albums chart at number 22. After his initial success, Brown went on to release more singles in 2015 such as "Used to Love You Sober", "Last Minute Late Night", and "I Love That I Hate You”. He signed with Sony Music Nashville in January 2016, and released his first extended play with the label titled Chapter 1 in March 2016. He released more albums in 2016, the self-titled Kane Brown featured a few of his singles. He would also release an album in 2018 titled Weekend. Brown released his third extended play in August 2020, mixtape vol. 1.


Brown has also held many concerts over two tours. Ain’t No Stopping Us Now Tour in 2016 and in September 2020, Brown announced a drive-in concert, held at more than 200 theatres across the USA.
